Meet Devon, Tall Truck owner, Cannabis grower, &
artisan Stonemason.
At the end of his apprenticeship, around the age of 22, Devon started “Guerilla Growing” deep in the woods of Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom. Hiking out miles, hauling soil that would nurture his hidden harvest, this would be Devon’s first experience growing cannabis flower.
He, like millions of Americans, uses cannabis to relax his muscles and incur pain relief. This is why Tall Truck was, is, and always will be, grown by the working man, for the working man.
Devon’s life has exemplified the popular binary between working hard and playing hard. His youth had true challenges, and shaped his outlook for the rest of his life. After being expelled in the 10th grade, he had a run in with the law at only 17.
After the court proceedings were over with, Devon couldn’t have been more lost. Ostracized from his family, freshly out of jail, a friend of Devon’s needed help at his job site, working for a local contractor. Little did Devon know, this one odd job would shape the rest of his life.
He took the job, and it was for a master brick & block mason, who was branching off into a new medium for him, stone. Devon, before anything else, is a laborer, capable of working to his limit every day for the week, and he became an apprentice to this contractor for 5 years. After becoming an adept at the craft, Devon began his own business and he started building.
laying The groundwork
After years of laying brick, cutting stone, and moving dirt, Devon achieved something most men only dream of: building his own house, on his own land, with his own hands. This space gave birth to the Tall Truck cannabis operation.
After repeated incidents with loggers, cramping on his guerilla grow, he scrapped his outdoor experiment permanently, however years later in 2008 he bought his first indoor light, thus beginning the Tall Truck cannabis operation.
Devon has grown the same way, in the same place for 17 years, using a Deep Water Hydroponic setup. The advantages he maintains from this setup is an incredible root health in each Tall Truck plant. His focus on plant health ensures that Tall Truck is consistently a top-quality product, and his small-batch methodology ensures all plants get all of their needs met and attended to.
